21st Tactical Air Force Base - #WeAreNATO

The main task of the 21st Tactical Air Force Base at Caslav is protection of the airspace above the Czech Republic. It is a part of the NATO Integrated Air and Missile Defence System – NATINAMDS. All training tasks of the pilots and land personnel at the base are adjusted according to that. In September 2019 some of the fighter jets JAS-39 Gripen will be stationed in Estonia and their mission will be to monitor and protect the airspace above the Baltic states. It will be the 6th international operation of Caslav troops.
