Ground based air defence units from ten NATO countries are currently taking part in exercises in various locations throughout the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Romania. The objective, to improve cooperation and interoperability in protecting airspace.

Caslav's light combat aircraft pilots v. helicopter crews

Personnel from the Caslav Tactical Air Force Base returned on Monday from a two-week Helicopter Tactical Instructor Course (HTIC) held in Arvidsjaur, Sweden. The aim of the course was to improve the tactical skills of pilots in air-to-air combat between aircraft and helicopters.

Central European defence ministers aim to strengthen joint border protection to combat illegal migration

On 19th June, members of the Central European Defence Cooperation (CEDC) arrived at Prague Castle, the seat of the Czech President, to discuss European border protection strategies. Minister of Defence Martin Stropnicky welcomed the Austrian Minister of Defence and Sports, Hans Peter Doskozil, as well as the representatives of the defence ministries of Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia.
