    On Saturday 22nd July, more than one thousand runners participated in the ARMYRUN extreme obstacle race at the Brezina Military Training Area, organised by the Extreme Sports Association and the Czech military as a fundraising event.

    Personnel from the Caslav Tactical Air Force Base returned on Monday from a two-week Helicopter Tactical Instructor Course (HTIC) held in Arvidsjaur, Sweden. The aim of the course was to improve the tactical skills of pilots in air-to-air combat between aircraft and helicopters.

    On 19th June, members of the Central European Defence Cooperation (CEDC) arrived at Prague Castle, the seat of the Czech President, to discuss European border protection strategies. Minister of Defence Martin Stropnicky welcomed the Austrian Minister of Defence and Sports, Hans Peter Doskozil, as well as the representatives of the defence ministries of Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia.
