Military Radiation Monitoring Net activated for training exercise

The specialists of the 314th Weapons of Mass Destruction Warning Centre simulated a sudden rise in radiation on all measurement points at 16 military bases on 15th March morning. The dosimetric level of 500 µSv/h resulted in activation of the Military Radiation Monitoring Net.

Minister Stropnicky visits Czech soldiers in Lithuania

On 1st March, Minister of Defence Martin Stropnicky and Chief of the General Staff General Josef Becvar visited Lithuania to observe Czech troops taking part in the exercise 'Training Bridge 2017' at the Armed Forces Urban Warfare Facility at the Training Area in Pabradė, Lithuania.

Czech and German soldiers to train together under new agreement

On 15th February in Brussels, the Czech and German Defence Ministers, Martin Stropnicky and Ursula von der Leyen signed an agreement which will intensify mutual cooperation by creating a single military unit with the integration of the Czech 4th Rapid Deployment Brigade into the German 10th Armoured Division of Bundeswehr.

Air advisory unit in Kabul continues under Czech command

On 9th February, Major Jiri Chrobak took over command of the 311th Air Expeditionary Advisory Squadron from Lieutenant Colonel Petr Sliva. Airmen from five nations will continue to carry out joint training activities for a further six months at the Hamid Karzai International Airport base in Kabul.
