EU honours Czech soldier with highest award

The first soldier to receive the newly introduced EU Medal for Extraordinary Meritorious Service was the Czech Corporal C. H. from the 44th Light Motorised Battalion based at Jindrichuv Hradec. The medal was awarded for the corporal's prompt reaction during the attack on the Headquarters of the EU Training Mission in Bamako, Mali.

Minister of Defence receives shipment of Tatra trucks

Israeli company to deliver MADR radars to the Czech Republic

On 14th December, the Czech government approved a recommendation from the 33-membered assessment commission of the Ministry of Defence, and agreed that eight ELM 2084 MMR radars will be supplied by the Israeli company, IAI Elta.

Refurbished MiG-15 fighter bomber unveiled

The unveiling ceremony of the MiG-15bis SB aircraft at Kbely airport, Prague, was seen as a symbolic return of the recently overhauled aircraft which will be displayed as part of the Air Museum collection at the Kbely Military History Institute.
