CASA aircraft transports wounded Ukrainians to the Czech Republic for medical treatment

Seven Ukrainian adults and two children arrived in the Czech Republic last week to receive follow-up treatment in Czech hospitals, three in Prague and one in Ostrava. The Czech Ministry of Interior, working in close cooperation with the ministries of Defence, Foreign Affairs and Health, continues with the medical evacuation programme (MEDEVAC).

The Italian city of Viterbo recently hosted a two-week international coordination exercise, held under the auspices of the European Defence Agency. Helicopter crews, forward air controllers, and ground personnel from ten countries, in a joint exercise, demonstrated their skills in the support, planning and execution of mission flights.

According to a French adage „cherchez le femme“, it is necessary to look for a woman behind everything. In military environment, it could be easily paraphrased as look for logisticians behind everything. This fact is not different also during the international exercise of ground-based air defence units called Tobruq Legacy 2015 which was held from the last week in the Boletice military area in the region of Cesky Krumlov.
General Bartels bids farewell to NATO as General Pavel starts his tenure as Chairman of the NATO Military Committee

General Knud Bartels bid farewell to NATO’s Military Committee on Friday (26 June 2015), leaving his position as Chairman after a term of three and a half years. General Bartels is succeeded as the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee by General Petr Pavel, previously the Chief of Defence of the Czech Republic.
