Minister Černochová met with Dutch Minister Ollongren to discuss ammunition initiative and sign MoU

The Ministry of Defence was the venue to a meeting between the Czech Minister Jana Černochová and Kajsa Ollongren, Minister of Defence of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The meeting focused on defence cooperation and aid to Ukraine. A Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries was signed on this occasion.
Minister Černochová discussed defence industry cooperation in Thailand

Defence Minister Jana Černochová met with Defence Minister of Thailand Sutin Klungsang in Bangkok. During her official visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two countries with the goal of promoting opportunities for the Czech defence industries in the Kingdom of Thailand. The Ministers also discussed training of Thai fighter pilots in the Czech Republic.
Minister Jana Černochová met with FBI Director Christopher Wray

On February 22, 2024, the Ministry of Defence was the venue to a working meeting between the Czech Defence Minister Jana Černochová and the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Christopher A. Wray. In attendance of the Director of Czech Military Intelligence Jan Beroun and United States Ambassador in the Czech Republic Bijan Sabet, they primarily discussed the current security situation and the development of common cooperation.
Czech Republic has two new mission commanders to command NATO air operations in case of conflict

Since February, the Čáslav AFB has two new Mission Commanders, who are able to control a multinational air operation in case of conflict. JAS-39 Gripen fighter pilots completed the test in a Tactical Leadership Programme (TLP) exercise in Spain two weeks ago.

NATO strengthens its defence posture and shall continue supporting Ukraine in countering the Russian aggression – these were the key topics of the recent Defence Ministers meeting in Brussels The Ministers agreed that enhancement of military capabilities, due to Russia’s aggression and expansionism, requires sufficient resourcing – above all defence budgets amounting to no less than 2% GDP. The Czech delegation was headed by Defence Minister Jana Černochová.
