    Joint training of Czech and Croatian helicopter personnel before ISAF deployment

    In the spirit of the slogan “If to fight together, we must train together”, twelve Czech and Croatian soldiers of helicopter crews train at the Mosnov Helicopter Training Point before their deployment in Afghanistan. The very first joint training started this week at the simulator, while practical training will be held in Croatia.

    Czech Minister of Defence Alexandr Vondra and American diplomat Ron Asmus have received the Czech and Slovak Trans-Atlantic Award for their contribution to strenghtening transatlantic ties, peace, prosperity and stability within Euro-Atlantic area. The ceremony was held at the gala dinner of the Internatinal Security Conference GLOBSEC 2012 - Global Security Forum, held 12 - 14 April 2012 in Bratislava, Capital of the Slovak Republic.

    Up to one billion Czech Crowns should save the Ministry of Defence by reduction of some administration works or by sharing some services with other governmental bodies. Minister of Defence Alexandr Vondra and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of ACR Major General Petr Pavel presented upcoming moves at the press conference on 3 April 2012.
