Commander of the 1st ACR Contingent:

Size of the Contingent: 65 + 5 (Ambulance team)

 

The Contingent comprises:

  • Chemical unit: 15 soldiers

  • Operational Mentoring Liaison Team: 10 soldiers

  • Meteo group: 4 soldiers

  • Air Traffic Control group: 2 soldiers

  • National Support Element: 34 soldiers

  • Ambulance team: 5 soldiers

With the exception of NSE, whose members provide logistic support for all Czech soldiers deployed in Afghanistan, all others work in favour of the Kabul International Airport multi-national contingent, which is at present commanded by Hungarian Lieutenant Csaba Varga.
