Czech pilots of L-159 ALCA aircraft, as the first team from east-European newcomers to NATO, participate in the prestigious Tactical Leadership Programme held at the Florennes Aviation Society, Florennes, Belgium.
The goal of the Tactical Leadership Programme is to enhance skills and interoperability experience of pilots who will be able to lead NATO air combat flight formations. The Florennes Aviation Society issues certificates for experienced leaders and also for pilots who passed the four-week course. The pilots from the Čáslav Air Force Base had to work and train hard before they got invitation to take part in the Programme.
There are five pilots of the 21st Tactical Air Force Base at Čáslav with three L-159 ALCA aircraft participating in the TLP 2006-4 session held from 19 June to 14 July 2006. The two pilots of them strive to win the certificates.
Besides pilots of the Czech Air Force, also military pilots from France, Gemany, Italy, Spain, the U.K. and the U.S.A. take part in the TLP 2006-4 session.
